2000 Gmc lift

im an 18 year old still in high school and i got a 2000 gmc serria 1500 4x4. i already leveled the front end by turning up my torsion bars. but i would still like 2 more inches or so on the front and back just to make it look a little meaner. is there anyway i can do this at home somewhat cheap or do i have to buy some expensive kit. any help would be appreciated thanks

i would also like to know how i can get my low beams to shine when i have my high beams on that way my low beams always shine its just my high beams turn on and off thanks

I am not sure that the plastic bulb housing could take the heat long from both bulbs burning, Under right conditions it could melt it.

my dad use to do it on a 75 model but they werent plastic

as far as your lift goes, since you cranked the torsion bars alreay you could go with leveling keys for the front and a 2 inch block for the rear ,cheap, simple yet an easy way to lift your truck

where could i find some keys pretty cheap that will still work fine

Many companys carry them before i did the SAS on my truck i used the keys from Offroad Unlimited they where 100 bucks

The problem with "keys" is they place suspension at or near top of suspension travel and upset suspension geometry too. Also they run CV shaft in front at higher angle which reduces their load capacity. Then, you add bigger tires and place even more strain on CV's. THe best and proper way to lift a IFS truck is to do it properly with a kit the lowers front diff and changes control arms or knuckles to lift truck and keep CV shaft angles nearly flat for max torque capacity. This is one of those, do it right or do not do it things.
