i have talked to a few people but nobody can give me an answer. does anybody kno if there is a difference between the 70 f-100 and the f-100 rangers? second question has anyone ever heard of a f-100 ranger?

Yes, I have heard of it. Back then "Ranger" was a package, like FX4 or Laredo. So an F100 Ranger is just a different trim variation of the F100.

thank you. i have never been able to get a straight answer from anybody. i have seen other f-100's but i cant find anything to do with mine. or even seen any others with the ranger on it anywhere. does anybody know where to find parts to restore it back to original. if so please e-mail me at kracer44@yahoo.com thanks

Yes that was back when trucks were F100,200 and 300 or C/K 10,20 or 30. In mid 70's Ford tried to market/push "HD" 1/2 ton's and called them F150's For a while they had both 100 and 150's but they they dropped 100 name and it became 150/250/350 and over brands followed suit. The Ranger package was kinda common on basic trucks they were pushing on lots. Not sure what year they dropped it but thy did before they came out with compact truck called the Ranger.

Try LMC for resto parts. They have just about everything you need to completely rebuild your old Ford.
