Hi all!

I have a question.  I´m putting 5,3 & trans from 2002 GMC Yukon into my Blazer.

I´m not using the transfer case from the yukon to make electrical hook-up easier.

Do you know if it´s possible to buy a completa "standalone" kit for the engine & trans?  Because I would like to get the loom and computers new?

I will post some pics soon.

Thanks in advance.

Pardon me for saying this but this is kinda a silly swap. 1971 was a classic and a pre emission vehicle. I would rebuild it as such too. The 5.3 is not that great of a engine and 5.3's of that era were more prone to piston slap issues than not because of poor production tolerances and they were made in Mexico too.

Hi Sno Man, can you send me a link to the thread that offers the best info exchange on pros/cons of going from 1970 350 vintage to 383.  If I want more low end for towing with automatic is this the most practical option.  I'm just confused with the details of getting the 383 right and if it's as advantageous as I'm being told.
