Hey new here, but not to jeeps. Looking for info. on swapping out steering column in a 71' cj5 to a 84' from a cherokee. Any help? THanks

Nobody,I'd like to know if I need to change the whole steering system ;column,shaft,gearbox. Still has the original system in it.

Why is it you want to use a Cherokee steering column in a 71 CJ5???.  Also the 71 was built when still made by Willys and 84 was AMC owned and a lot of things changed during that time.
