i have a 98 chevy 1500 with a 4.5-6 inch skyjacker lift and i was looking for a set of wheels that will set my tires just outside my fenders but i wasnt sure what backspace i should get. i would like 16 inch wheels so if you have any ideas or any for sale please inform me.

Just remember the bigger the offset the more strain it places on axle knuckles and bearings and it also in effects weakens its true load capacity so use it sparingly.

do you mean the lower the offset is= meaning the more the tire will be pushed out of the wheel well.

just make sure you get wheels for your year truck, the new trucks have a higher offset which will tuck in way more but have the same bolt pattern
