Performance Accessories Makes a 3" body lift for your truck, but if I were you I'd stay away from body lifts they mess up frames with time especially if you off road with it i've seen the bushings blow right through the sheet metal, and your center of gravity gets dangerous. Also, how big of a tire do you want to put under this truck? if its anything bigger than a 35 expect problems with the front IFS.

well i see no reason you can't clear 37s with slight front fender trimming or put on some fender flares that fee up some more space, your ifs just won't hold up to reall off road abuse for long with 37s or even 35s so drive accordingly
solid axle chevys cant be beat

he'd fit 37s-38s but like you we say big tires=Broken IFS

what do you have on your ride there and how do you get it to hold up

For starters i have a Chevy HD and it had IFS, but i had it cut out and a 1978 Dana 60 front axle from a 1 ton ford put in for strength, i had the axle completley rebuilt and upgraded to a 5.13 gear set, The rear axle i had regeared as well but its a 14 bolt so it was strong enough to stay. the front suspension is a 4 link with coilovers and the rear is a 12 inch leaf spring pack. The Problem with IFS is its difficult to maintain and there are to many moving parts, with a solid axle the whole axle flexs with your suspension and the axles shafts stay straight unless you turn the wheels, for IFS the CVs move every direction causing them to brake easier. Even if you upgraded your CVs, tie rods and regeared the front Diff, it would cost a ton and still wouldnt hold up as long. With a solid axle moving parts and maintence are greatly reduced and there easy to work on, the list could go on forever. I went with a dana 60 because they are very strong and parts are easy to get, and it takes a lot to brake one, only problem is the 78-79 dana 60s are very hard to find. They make Solid axle swap kits for your truck.
