i'm getting a 92 F-150 with a front bench... i need to put bucket seats in so my little boy can fit his car seat in the back... any suggestions on a donor vehicle to get good, comfortable buckets out of that will fit relatively easily into the ford??? i'm looking for high-backed with headrests... i'm not sure what comes in the bronco's of the same body style... or if they'll swap...

well if ford is anything like chevy the hi back buckets from a same body style ford should mount in the samoutside mounting studs or holes and it might even have provitions for buckets already in the floor. Hell you could probably rob both buckets and the ctr console as well.

well thanks anyway... i was looking for what vehicles had some nicer buckets in them... make my search at the junkyard a bit easier... and possibly make a thread w/ pics for future seat swappers...

you know before i got rid of my blazer i was looking at cutting some and putting in some seats out of a big rig, air ride and all, tall and comfey...lots to mod though, but if ya did it right, the road disappears in a cloud of air. and remember those old monte carlo buckets? they turned sideways to let you out and such.
and ime pretty sure the broncos buckets would bolt right in.

i have a 71 ford that im swapping bucket seats into from a bench seat.  the seats almost bolt in the same minus drilling some wholes.  i robbed mine out of a 80's era bronco.  they are way more comfy and softer then bench.  but a friend is doing the same thing and it he had to make a runner for is, which simply put is a few pieces of striaght and angle iron welded to run across from the bench seat mounts so you can install the bucket seats.  if needed i may be able to upload photos.  on mine i wont have to make a runner but for ease of installation it might be the better faster idea if you have seats that dont match of quite right.
Lift it.  Fat girls can't jump!
