i need to know what would be a better choice for my 14 bolt ff rear end i heard good thing about the detroit locker the only thing i didnt really like is that it could lock up aroun a turn and i live on a curvy road that gets really wet when it rains so is a limited slip a good choice?

A locker can be a heart attack on a slick road big time!! Even a LSD can be a hand full but better than a Detroit.

The TrueTrac is a good compromise. That or a selectable locker.

so does the detroit locker lock up on the throttle or jus coasting on corners? or will it lock up if i slow down to say 30 or 20 mph?

It will only unlock when it is coasting or with very little power input and when it unlocks it lets outside wheel in a turn "rachet" and free wheel while keeping inner wheel locked to drive. It has no ability to power both wheels at different speed in a turn and why they are a heart attack on ice because it will tend to lock wheels together a lot and cause them to skid in turns and as a result vehicle looses directional control.

Spool only have one place and that is on the strip. Very poor choice for a street axle and wear tires out quickly and be even worse that a Detroit on slick roads (it would kinda be a lost cause here)
