Hi,
I hope someone has had results in resolving a problem with their 2004 Chevy Silverado SS.  Recently, with no notice I lost power steering at engine idle speed.  Once I speed up the engine the steering frees up.  I have no leaks and the pump fluid is full.  The only upgrades I done to the truck are larger tires and wheels.  The truck has 35,000 miles on it.
