had a minor issue with a broken welder.  gonna have it finished up tomorrow morning

Almost done, I need to mount the hood latches and wire up my turn signals. I rough painted the fenders to keep the rust away form the welds.  Ill be giving them a final coat in the next couple of weeks.






 

That looks nice  Are they strong enough to jack on to, in case you keep dropping your springs out? Or did you get limiting straps?

For some reason i thought the fenders were wider.  

yea they make them with extended flares but i opted not having them.  I have plans to integrate a custom front bumper with a stinger into the fenders for support.

And yes i wayne i installed 15inch limiting straps to keep the springs in place.   I need to find some 13 inch ones to have them exactly where i need them.   yea they are pretty beefy.  the tubing is inch and a half 120 wall.  and the plate is 1/8th inch plate.  

you should add diamond plate to it so it matches the back.

So you going to weld up some sliders soon?

yea we ended up running out of gas on the driver side fender.   so it will be compltley welded this week sometime and ill have all the little things worked out soon.  

Dang, sounds like a rough day. How did they end up fixing the welder?  

well the day i called you i was in LA fabbing up the fenders with josh at his work.  thats the welder that died. on sunday i went to a friends house down the street and we almost finished with his miller.  were gonna get more gas and finish it up soon  

Ah, I see. You could have grabbed my gas bottle on Sunday, that's the one thing I've got that works... lol  

Finished up the painting.  I ended up using a spray on  bedliner and I painted the inner fenders too. It has a light texture to it and IMO it came out pretty good.
