BFGs, Coopers, Intercos are all great tires, but I can't really afford them.
How about a test of tires from Bridgestone/Firestone, Stampede, and others in the general price range.
Mud Terrains and All Terrains in the standard sizes. Which is the best for the low dollar set?

Sean,
Yes! I want the job! I've taken writing courses, and have had both editorials and articles published in newspapers and online. (including an editorial letter in "Automotive News") I am also three quarters through my novel that I'm writing.
My experiences with the auto industry spans from working at a car wash, where Chrysler brought their LH Sedans for weatherseal testing and Cadillac brought a mule of the Catera, to working at the Auto Show in Greenville, South Carolina. I answered questions at the Saturn display where we were inturducing the Vue for the first time.
I host my own forum site and the website about my first car still gets hits regularly.
I live in Florida which grants me closer access to the south-eastern region than it does you, and I have places to stay in both Tennessee and Georgia.
If that doesn't qualify me, here's one last item. I had the guts to ask for Leon Mandel of "Autoweek" magazine to personally come down to the main floor so I could ask him for a job, while the Detroit Grand Prix was running.
So, are you interested?

If we had any spots on staff, we'd give you a shot at it. Keep doing what you are doing and we'll keep you in mind if there is ever any movement here.
And fatguy4x4, we are not canceling your subscription, just changing the address it goes to. ![]()

I think its a great idea, but would you go all the way......i mean would you do a failure analysis also.
Or just ride comfort, performance, wear

Failure analysis would be really hard to do safely since we would be testing them ourselves in a real-world environment. We don't have any fancy testing equipment to do something like that.
