My dad recently gave me our father son project it is a 86 chevy shortbed i love this truck it has a 383 in it and we have set the pinion angles to fabtech specs, but it still seems to kill the needle bearings in the cups,on the rear drive shaft only, kills the front and rear u joints, i only have s six inch lift and 33s on it any suggestions?

DID YOU LENGTHEN THE DRIVE SHAFT? IF NOT THEN THAT WILL PUT SOME UNNESSESARY STRAIN ON THE JOINTS TOO AND PREMATURELY WHERE THEM OUT, CAUSE THE JOINT ANGLES ARE OFF.

It has to do with angle of joint and the torque load on them. As the angle increases the torque capacity decreases. Do you have pretty tall gears in it? If so it does increase torque loading on joints. As you increase their angle you want to reduce average torque load if you want long joint life.
