You still thinking on going with BFG's when time to change or you going give the Coopers another whirl? I've really grown fond of these cooper's, they have better sidewall protection, and feel like they have a little better lateral stabilty. They also stop alot better on wet pavement. I'm waiting for a report from brother on his Mickey Thompson MTZ's on tread wear too, I really like it's tread pattern.

I think you should take him for a ride I have been building jeeps for years since I was a kid I fell in love with jeep pre chrystler and after  this is where it comes down to me in the coil vs leafs. Leaks have a few weakpoints
1 . They have low flexablity unless you get the mono spring system or go for a fever spring that is typicly used for baja
2.  The vibration everyone knows there is a road before the trail vibrations make you and your body tired and both are key off roading
3. Limited the is only so much you can do to a leaf to improve proformance
positives
1. Durability, I had an 87 wrangler with Amc gear 4.2 peuso tranny nasty *** but my Springs never broke popped out no problems other then sagging
2. Simple design, simple repair

Coil springs
positives
1. Durable
2. Flexable
3. Affordable
4. Versitille
5. Simple
6. Smooth ride less road noise
7. More stable design
8. 4 or 3 linkable
9. I'm guessing you get the idea can't find and cons In my opinion

1998-TJ-383 stroker from red line proformance - turbo 400 trans- atlas 2 tcase Detroit air lockers front and rear- spider customs
cage/armor Rockwell front and rear 3 link rear 4 link front - all 4130 chromally or grade 8 steel with some grade 9 aircraft aluminum
8 inch custom springs from fabtech thank you Kenny, fox double bypass shocks

sound system! Custom build from my shop 4 15 inch isobaric subs 4 2000 watt audison amps from 25 hz to 19khz
