I have a problem, well not so much of a problem as an inconvience.. I am thinking about buying this F250 Powerstroke and bringing it back home to my little town, Wright City... The problem is that the truck currently has a 15" lift and 46" tires already on the truck...  Now being the country boy that I am, said hell ya I want it and want it NOW!!!! So I want to buy it next weekend in Georgia.. Is there anything I can do to make this truck legal in Missouri??? As of right now it's too big and I will be gettin all kinds of tickets, which will be worth it to have the truck but is there some kind of bumper or extensions that I can install to lower the bumper to make it street legal????? Please HELP ME OUT???? I NEED INFO....

I don't even pretend to know the law in MO but I have used a custom made 12" drop hitch to make the legal bumper height law here in TN. Here it is measured at the lowest point of the rear of the vehicle, not the bumper itself.

Tell you what, legal or not, if you have a accident in that truck and it is your fault you better have darn good insurance coverage because they will clean your clock if it is your fault.

Amen, brother! Around here they will MAKE it your fault, based on what you drive...Big lifted truck, import/tuner, or especially a commercial vehicle.

in some states they go by  how far from the gound your headlights are... I think 72" is the most common... thats what it is here in oregon

i know back home in Viginia, the law was originally the distance between pavement and bumpers. Then, with many guys getting around that by using dropped bumpers, they changed to distance between frame and pavement. Here in Puerto Rico there may be a hight law, I don't know. Nor, do I think they really care here. It obviouslly varies from state to state. Like stated before, make sure you've got good insurance, they like to stick it to the truck driving/off-roading/working class/tax-paying folk.
