I'm wanting to make my truck more off road worthy and i have some idea of what i'm wanting to do but i'm wanting to adjust my axles somehow and i'm just not sure what it is that i should do. that and i don't know what sort of gear ratio or type of axles i already have. so if anyone knows what gears i should go with or maybe a different axle i would greatly like to know. thanks......

what size tires do you have, this will help in telling you what size gear to upgrade to, or if an axle upgrade is necessary.

Z71'a usually had 3.73's which is a not too bad with stock tires but not good with bigger tires. Also 350 TBI's can tend to be slugs when you run stock timing and 87 octane fuel. If you use better gas and bump static timing to 6 to 8 degrees BTDC you will gain some power and response that you will feel and MPG will improve too.
