New to lifting, question about Types of suspension lifts.

So basically my main goal is to clear my 37" tires with little or no rubbing.

I have a 3" body lift in my truck right now, the 37" boggers are worn and were a gift... so well who cares about rubbing fenders and cutting up the outer edges of the lugs right?

Well now the thing is the tires are now getting bald bald (Will be ordering a new set of boggers in the same size, maybe in a 36" if advised to.)

Okay onto my question, I have a 1986 Dodge Ramcharger...

As you can see it's sitting low, the stock suspension is toast, the rear leafs are actually bowed backwards, hah.

The truck will mainly be used for mud and some trails.

Okay so I'm wondering should I just go with a 4" sus to add to my 3" bod or if I am to go with a 6" sus and take out the 3" bod do you think i'll be faced with the same problems. Ideally I'd leave the 3" and add a 6" but well I think it will be a bit too tall.

I know that was pointless, but I just want recomendations on kits. I've heard Procomp is the best for my money for what I want. So that's basically longer leafs, shocks, a T-case drop, new pitman arm?

Is there anything special I should know about the current stock sus' set-up?

I am not mecanically handicapped, just have never dealt with lifts on the front... I know Rear is easy.

Thank you to anyone who reads all this and can make sense of it, big first post.

Leave the body lift, I mean it's already there. Add the 4" sus lift, don't have any experiance with Pro-comp kit, have heard they're great. As of other kits A freind of mine has same year Ram Charger as you do, and he has a Black Diamond kit on it, and it does great. Although I think Black Diamond is owned by Superlift now, don't know if they still offer Black Diamond side of business or all consolidated into Superlift.

That's a lot of tire for that truck! I had a '79 PowerWagon back in the day. I was foolish enough to go with 38's and it looked cool! Problem was I rebuilt the whole front end and the steering column, and it still scared the crap out of me over 45mph!!! That ole Dodge chased rabbits bad! I couldn't keep it in my lane and actually ran a cop off the road. Not to mention the premature wear and tear on the mechanicals! Oh to be 25 again..
