It works best with a old style York used on Fords and some Chrysler. GM compressor is not really suitable for this.

The GM compressor needs oil in the volume it is compressing to survive for long. The old York styles are not to fussy about this.

You can find thoes old york compressors at wrecking yards usually pretty cheap. I got three for a bill and a half only one was bad. I run one of these in my mini truck for the air suspention and on the high way it will fill a 5 gallon tank from 100 psi toi 175 in a matter of seconds. and at idle or slightly higher rpm it will fill from 0 to 175psi in about 2 mins. Very awesome compressor and relitavly easy to retro fit on a v8. You can also get some premade kits at suicidedoors.com.
Where's the time to work on MY stuff?
