what year? what size rim? is it lifted or stock? no matter what don't go ant bigger than a 35" tire on that truck. that's about the max your ifs can handle without breakin stuff or at least eatin it up quick. i have 315/70-17's(34.8"x12.5") on my '06 with stock rims and they fit fine before i lifted it at all, just cranked the torsion bars and realigned it. it is better to use a good leveling kit though. which i did eventually.

all stock, rims, tires, no lift just want a better tire for light offroading. my buddy has a 05 with 35's but i'm sure that is to big for my truck maybe 33's?

yep, 33's will be good or even a 285/70-16 is like a step up from stock size tires and you won't be losing as much gear. (remember, the more tire you have the lower gears you need)
