One ton non dualie and 3/4 ton trucks use same rear axle most of the time. The only difference being if maybe a bigger engine is offered in one model than other but such is not the case here. Most came with 4.10's though they could have a 3.73 or 4.30.

if they never been fooled with you and the doors are the stock one their is an info sticker on the cab or door that will give you an axle code if you have the owners manual you can look it up if not try google

grab some brake parts cleaner, crawl underneath the truck behind the rear axle. find the thin steal tab that is bolted to diff cover and spray the dirt and grim off with the cleaner. it will tell you the axle code, ratio, and if it is a posi.  if thats not there pull the diff cover and count teeth, and look for spider gears. Heck the fluid probably needs changed anyway.

There is not need to pull cover and count teeth. If all else fails, simply jack up one wheel in rear with tranny in neutral and rotate wheel one full turn while counting drive shaft rev's. Multiple drive shaft count by 2 and you have axle ratio. You can also do two revs of wheel instead of one and skip the multiplier. (the reason for all this is spider gears double speed of one wheel when other is held still)
