So i am from the midwest just moved to washington and bought my first rig from a buddy its already hooked up its a 88 k5 blazer 350 small block, 8' lift 38' swampers, dana 60 front and rear, locked front and rear fuel injected, now i took it to the pits and i am a rookie at this stuff so i go through my first pit get stuck truck dies out get it out try it again make it through i want to know what upgrades i can do to make my truck keep its power while i go through the water it feels as if i not getting enough gas and it just wants to die out, and i see other guys with no lifts running right though them things and not losing any power so if anyone could help me become better would appreciate it..... thanks

5.38 gears to go along with the 38" tires, provided ya still have the od tranny.

its a big dog truck ya got there! ide go with gearing first, then find some torque, headers and appropriate intake parts.give er a tune up and make sure your four low is working, theres a lot of rubber there to spin so ya need all the torque multiplication you can get! check the fuel filter and see if its not filled with stuff.
i dont advocate this,but i think there is a filter looking thinger inside the air cleaner, its a real air path choke...
and if it accidently falls out you may find some power hidden there...
of course the zz383 from gmpp has 425 horses and 450 lbs of torque,
and really pocket book killing is the zz572 at 620 horses,,hmmmmmm
maybe not

thanks for the help turns out i have 4:10 gear ratio so i need to find some 5:38
