Just did about a 3in lift on a 1990 jeep cherokee and the sway bar rubs on the front springs? I've never seen this before but someone must have had it happen to them. Also bear in mind that all my bushings for the upper and lower control arms are shot. Figured I'd ask for advice and anything will help. Thanks -AZ

yeah, what ya have is some severely worn out bushings,
the sway bar isn't long enough to reach the coils properly secured....

I have a 98 classic lifted 2-1/2" with coil spacers in the front. Same problem. Just intalled all new bushings and it still is rubbing the coil on the drivers side.

Was there a relocation bracket of any kind for it with the kit you didn't put on? I remember when we installed a 6" Full Traction kit on my friends 89 XJ it had a sway bar relocation bracket. Not sure if they use these on smaller lifts.

Nope. Just used blocks on the back and spacers in the front. So there should be sway bar relocation brackets out there and for sure....those damned bushing are deader than George Bush's sex life! Gonna find me a good bushing kit and try to find me that sway bar relocation bracket

what ya gotta do is get a relocation bracket or go with longer links. you can get a set of longer, quick disconnect links with poly bushings for a decent price

hey. fixed the rubbing thing by replacing the control arm bushings. They. were. SHOT! Be switching it up with a sway bar, disconnects and stuff. Looking at a 4.5in lift from rubicon express, Once the bankruptcy goes through. How sad is that? I'll be debt free and the first thing I'm gonna do is build my jeep!
