I have two trucks, a 1989 GMC 4X4 no lift (IFS) and a 1986 K10 w/15 inches and 44's.  I want to combine the two trucks.  The body on the 86 is shot and there is no motor.  The 89 is a good running truck.  Which is easier, swap the running gear or swap bodies/motor/tranny?  I don't think the body mounts will line up, so would be some fabricating either way.  But I am thinking the frame on the 86 already has everything and it would be just a matter of transplanting the body, motor, and tranny.  Any one ever done this?
