I was wondering if anybody knows how to convert a 1979 chevy k10 pickup from auto to mamual tranny.  I bought the pickup 6 months ago and enjoy driving it but wish it was a manual. The pickup is automatic with full time four wheel drive.  

A 5 speed manual would be nice but a 4 speed conversion will work  

Either way you are going to have to do some adapting. Bigger problem is tcase input shaft spline match as your should have a NP203 and they never came with a manual/203 combo. Manual is going to be a bit shorter so you may have drive shaft length issues.  It is quite doable but it will not be a piece of cake.
