had a great time today at asuza.

hardly any mud but it had some great sand hills this time.

not too crowded but crowded enough where people just started following the mog around.   especially after the unifrog front end went airborn climbing a really steep and tall hill.

then after the mog conquored and reconquered in reverse the sand hill we putted along and found a even steeper and taller hill on the other side of the canyon.

after the mog chewed up the hill and getting to the top,  i saw that he left 46inch ruts.  no way in hell i was gonna follow so i went around. WELL....   the UA z71 gave it ago.  on his second or 3rd attempt Ali floored it and the drivlineSSS  let go.   both at the same time.  the front D sfant was done the yoke snaped.  the rear shaft we thought was ok just a busted Ujoint.   after some beats with a hammer to replace it we realized the yoke was bent.   Sooooooo   AAA to thte rescue and the UA z71 was sent home on the flat bed.

It great to meet Ali and play in Azusa for a while. The mog did great, but there was not much mud this time. The few hills i did were more just to see if the mog would do it...I was not disappointed. I also think it would have climbed the hills with less trouble with about 10/12lbs in the tires. I only went down to 17. I think Ali & Kevin were still running street pressure, which is why Ali lost both d/s.
I think the mog will do ok in the mud as long as it is not bottomless.

Man, I wish my truck were running... I got it all back together Sat afternoon... next time for sure!

I'm sorry I couldn't be more help getting the Z71 home, we need to get the XJ running so its not a burden to get off it's parking spot (trailer) when something like this comes up. Sorry guys, but glad you got it home! Gotta love AAA!
