Ya just wishful thinking from the land of two seasons. but you know the heat shield stuff you use to block radiant heat? i wonder how good it would be at blocking the cold too?
you know line the inside of your camper shell and bed walls,(ime poor so hey?)with a layer of the material, or how about building a sub roof/wall to insulate? think it would work? I know lotta questions, but caffiene has a way with the nugget...
put a few pounds of wool or 'glass between the walls, dont forget ventilation!
very important for an escape route for the hydrogen emiters.
maybe a sub floor for the mattress to sit on and have storage.
Now if your kinda handy and like to camp in the tundra, then rig up a little butterfly valve to direct your engine coolant to the little fan blown heater core that you installed in the sub floor,ya did plan for that right? nice and cozy under the mattress, better in a diesle though, idleing and stuff, ohh btw,the remote starter switch you installed inside the bed comes in real handy, just reach over and look at the temp gauge for the motor, see how long it will take to heat up the cave on your mobile domicile!
anyone out there have any other ideas for the rig were gonna send the eds of four wheelers to the alaskan wilds this winter!
maybe...

I would use Tuff R polyurethane insulation. It comes in 4 x 8 ft sheets in thickness up to 1 inch with foil on both sides. Stronger, sturdier and a better insulator than just foam and it cuts nice and clean with a knife when piecing it into places and because of its construction it can be glued in place firmly if need be. 5/8 inch is close to R5 and can make a world of difference over no insulation at all. I have used it for a lot of projects over the years and it works well and very light in weight too.

i used it to completely line my dog's houses. that and the split flap over the door and a half bale of straw. i stuck my kid in one to check it out and he wanted to "camp out" with the dog's last fall. even our short haired doberman/pit mix didn't complain. well, at least he didn't say anything to me about being cold.
