actually not in person , but without hearing you speak it is hard to judge your tone know what i mean? well it doesn't make me an expert but in my short time of research according to an article i read on the frybrid site the vp44 equipped 24v cummins motors were prone to failure because of low fuel pressure entering the injection pump like what what might be caused by a faulty lift pump. they had quoted an article from bosch that stated the veins inside the pump were not properly deburred in the manufacturing process and could gouge the housing and possibly seize the rotor and break off the pump head. this is compunded by the higher viscosity of svo and bio-diesel, but with proper fuel pressure to the pump under load and a redesigned pump this shouldn't be an issue.
i was asking about the dodge because i like the serviceability of the injectors, really really simple as compared to say the duramax. i like the fords due to personal experience with them. was driving a 99 7.3 powerstroke equipped stupid duty in vegas for work and in stock trim it had a hard time NOT frying the tires when leaving a stop when accelerating hard.
