I've built more engines than i can count and spent 5 yrs in the Army as a Diesel mechanic and always "hot torqued" the heads after reinstallation. i thought everybody did.
Last week i was helping a friend put his fresh 440 back in his '70 Bee. After firing it up and all the preliminary break in, leak checks, etc. I suggested poppin off the valve covers to do a "hot re-torque" on the heads. He looked at me like i asked to see his wife naked! He told me he never does that, and who would? Am i wierd?
