I've got a 2002, floor shift... changed the transfercase last year for a almost new one from a certified parts dealer, changed actuator(new) at the same time... worked great all winter but now the 4x4 high nor the 4x4 low comes on when I shift it!!! i have to play a long time with the floor shifter in and out to have it engage. Would this be a plugin problem with the wires... could there be any dirty contacts somewhere... need help???

The indicator light is controlled by disconnect actuator on front axle. Confirm its function.

You rock Snoman.... checked the actuator out and it was a bad connector... all corroded... cleaned it and put some connection cleaner and ... voila...!!!
Thanks a bunch!

You are quite welcome. I know GM pretty well as I have been messing with them for over 35 years now and currently own 2 of them in full sized 4x4 models. I have always done all of my own non warranty repair work and keep vehicles for a long time too after I buy them new so I make it a point to know how they work too and their weaknesses.
