This is My DJ3A!! YES!! its a DJ. I started with a 2wd and ended up with a very cool 4wd Jeep. I put Dana 44 Scout axles with 4.27 gearsand lockers. A 2.8 V6 from a S-10 blazer in front of a T-4 with a Dana 300 Trans Case. I run 36" Wild Countrys and a Set of 33" what evers cheep!! The build took most of a winter since I have no heat in the barn. After 5 years it is time for a new paint job ( the trails have been rough on the shine) I just installed a set of rear seats which are rear seats from a old Subaru Brat. I high mounted them on top of the wheel wells so the kids can see better. No bells and whistle in this rig just Blood sweat and gears. http://www.cadillacjeepers.com/ Club photo gallery has more.

Yes, very nice. I especially like the scenery. Most people's photos are all truck and mudhole. The view in the back shows why someone would drive through such conditions. It is all about going and seeing places that only a small percentage of people have seen or will ever get to see. Good job. I think this would make a great photo for reader's rides.

Our pond is about 2.5 acres and has only the Gills and small mouths that we transplanted into it. I guess it should be good fishing. I only put them in, and have not taken them out. Guess I should try some day!!

Cool ride. I remember this magazine doing a series on building a Jeep like yours from the old mail Jeeps (DJ). Is that where you got your inspiration?

No. I had a jeep years before this build and wanted anouther. This DJ had been in the family for near on 30 years and it was time to bring it back to life. So a winter of hard work and a few bucks I have had a great wheeler with many adventures for a few years now. I just obtained a new Jeep for a bargan of a price A 85 XJ with 6" Roygh Country lift. 33" BFG's Some trail improvements (dents) but in great running shape. All for a mear $650.00
