I have 1999 Silverado with 35" tires and the auto trans. I was looking at upgrading the brakes and have no clue. Does anybody have any experience or knowledge. I don't want to spent the $2K plus for the BAER package. Is the single piston caliper strong enough and just new rotors needed. I use some teflon lifetime warranty shoes from Chet Nichols and they hold up pretty good.

i have a 02 silverado with 33 bf mud terrains...i was going through pads and rotors like crazy then i saved some $$ and put on a set of 3piston calibers and sloted rotors from SSBC...fronts cost me 1200 and 1200 for the back...let me tell you it was well worth it...i know it cost some money but i think this is probably the best investment i made..i actually just replaced the front calibers and rotors first..then waited about 1yr to do the back...if u don't one half first, do the front...just my 2cents
