so is a brake proportioning valve required it is on a s10 i have a solid axle converson with drum brakes front and rear i think the valve is bad and i would like to bypass it if possible

yep, everthing has a proportioning valve they are just different in alot of applications.

I'd want to use disc up front, theres lots of conversions that can be done using stock parts instead of spendy aftermarket stuff, especially the d44's

my 69 chevy has drums still on it on both ends along with closed knuckles, it stinks to drive...

i have a d44 with drums but the truck is a 85 s10 and the back does not seam to get very much pressure

thats kinda what the valve does is givess the front more...

dang, I thought that thing was a big ol ford in the avatar!   LOL.

i have a dana 44 out of a 74 bronco  what all would i need to convert the front brakes to disk i want to keep it with the ford bolt pattern so my rims will fit any info would realy help

you can get the backing plate, hub, rotor, and either chevy style or ford style calipers from the broncograveyard.com

what kinda axle is under a 89 f 150 do you think these parts will work on a 74 dana 44
