How much are we talking about to lift an 03 TJ? Coils front/rear, thinking of maybe a 3" lift (is that what Shayna and Kevin run?). Totally new to jeeps, trying to get an estimate
Thank you!!

Shayna's Got leaf springs but Kevin should know about the TJ.
Did you check Rubicon express's site. They have a good lift for the TJ's

The lift kit costs can vary from $125 for a 1-2" budget boost to $500-$600 on a short arm lift to $1600 for a long arm lift. It really depends on what the jeep is going to be used for and what size tires you'll end up with. A 3"-4" lift will clear 33s with some rubbing on max flex.

I run a HD 2.5" rancho lift (about $1100 including shocks) on 34x12.5-16 trXus m/t's
with proper bump stops and backspacing, theres no rubbing, the flex is limited to how far the shocks can reach..

What size tire do you want to run and what kind of wheeling do you want. Ive been pretty happy with my setup so far. what are the drive train specs on the jeep? motor axles and trans?
You have 4link and coils front and rear. My setup is from Rubicon Express and its the 3.5 superflex short arm. it rides and wheels way better then stock. I picked up my kit from DC4wd.com for 850.00 a couple years ago.

it's an o7 or 8 JK if it has 17's and the v6.
the 4.o is gone now. they musta been loosing to much money from it's dependability so they had to go an git rid of it. the jk v6 is different than the minivan engine.

that's a negative Nick, I don't think I could ever get rid of the truck
but Marina picked up an 03 wrangler with either 32 or 33" tires stock, so we're going to give it just a bit of loove

for the jeep - do we really NEED to get the arms? There won't be a long arm conversion, nor do we really want a ton of flex, just want to raise it a couple inches to clear the 32s a bit better
should I just get new springs and leave the arms alone? and go long arms down the road?
Thank you!

ya don't need arms untill ya get up to 3.5-4"'s then ya need to get into some long arms.
the new non adjustable short arms are the same length as the stock ones, just way more durable,
so.. unless yer gonna be scraping them on rocks ya really don't need new arms.
even though ya can get away with out it.... ya still need to make a front and rear track bar adjustment even for a two inch lift. either with redrilling, brackets or a adjustable track bar.

yea i would just grab some small lift springs. I ran coil spacers for a while and they worked ok.
