i have a dodge dana 60 out of a truck and i was wondering if its the same size as the original 14 bolt chevy as far as spring perch width and entire axle width?  

Get out the measuring tap and check. For what it is worth, if you can find/trade it for a GM 9.5 14 bolt, it is about same strength, will bolt in for sure and can be had with a 6 lug pattern too.
