I always liked the 'Kota's, personally. I'd like to see that truck with some 31 or 32's, and maybe a bed?

The reality is, the bigger the tires on it the more LD (Light Duty) it is because it increases strain on drive line and suspension and in effect reduces load capacity. Many thing though that huge tires make a truck HD when they do not. Most of the same people also think that you do not need to regear axles either so then you wind up with a LD truck that is a slug too. So counter productive.

That's why I thought a thought a 31" tire would be about right. What's he want? 44's? That would look awesome but, as Snoman said, counter productive.
It's like masterbating with a cheese grater...slightly amusing at first, but mostly, just painful.

I agree too here and I was not thinking you were suggesting bigger was better at all. You are pretty much on target for this chassis for best compromise of look and sturdiness.

Oh I know. I'm just curious why he thought that was so ridiculous. Maybe I missed something???? Oh. Wait. Here it is...right after "flippin in the air and landing on the wheels and drivin it home".

Any plans to do a solid axle swap later on down the road?
