I have just been told by my father that he has bought a new pick up and he is giving me his old one. Now i have some options. Option #1: My 2005 Ford Ranger 2wd pickup. Option #2: A 1975 Plymoth TrailDuster for $300 from a friend(it runs, but has minor rust). Or Option #3: My 1989 Chevy Silvarado 3500 2wd. At the time i dont have money for the Trailduster, but im sure i could sell som stuff to get enough. Which would be the best to turn into a bogger? Also, the '89 chevy has a Big Block 454, perfect for a bogger.

Ya don't see too many of those Plymouth's. Is it 4wd? That would be cool, just because it's unique. Fortunately, it shared almost everything with the Ramcharger so parts would be easy. The Chevy not being 4wd would be a major undertaking to convert it. I don't know your budget. $$$ may not be an issue!

The Trail Duster would be cool to have because like someone else said, their is very few of them around but parts would not be a issue because they were Dodges under the surface.

Yes, it is 4WD. That truck would be awesome. It also has the Jeep style hardtop that is removable, again, awesome for dunes and such. I have a very small budget. Im 16 and I am not getting any calls on work. Also, it is a tough thing to do, being my dad is still using this truck until his new one arives. I am hoping he will let me sell his old one(the 1989 1 ton) and i can buy the Trailduster. Its also a hard decision being it has a 454 Big Block. Although, the whole reason he is getting a new one is because he only gets 6MPG with the 1 ton. I think i will talk to him more about the trailduster. Thanks!
