13 rigs from North Carolina, Texas, Colorado, Washington, and California met up in Moab UT for the 4th annual Jeeperz GTG from March 28-April 5.  The weather was great with no rain and nice sunny days.  You can read all of the magazines and videos but seeing the geography of the area first hand is really amazing.  For a week our rigs bounced, climbed, crawled and clawed their way up and over some of the tough trails that Moab has to offer.  It was a great trip with a great group of people and plans & preparations for next years run has already started.  If you want a challenge with a great group of wheelers, check the 2009 Jeeperz run.  Enough of my chattering, here's some photos:

Andy,

You are right it was an awesome trip this year, we tackled some serious trails, Moab Rim, Hells Revenge, Pritchet canyon, Metal Masher, Rusty nail, golden Spike, and gold bar rim...

No major breakdowns on the trails but we did have one roll over not to serious.

If you ever wanted to wheel moab with a group but not during the safari our run next year is the week end after easter for the entire week.  The weather is awesome that time of year and the trails are empty...

It was great seeing you and the rest of the gang again Andy!  Look forward to Pismo in June and maybe the Rubicon in late sept... and of course Moab next year...

The roll was George aka SD TDS (?) on steel bender, on the climb that my rig is doing in the second to last image.  His hand throttle got stuck on the climb up and he started bouncing towards the driver side, hit a rock and rolled it down a 6" ledge.  He's doing good, and his rig is getting worked on.  Rig carnage: bent frame, busted steering shaft, broken pin in the brakes (which gave a good scare to Tom as he was driving George's rig down a hill and the brakes went out on him).  George carnage: dislocated shoulder, cracked rib, and general soreness.

Oh damn, it was George? Glad to hear that he is mostly ok. How many times did he go over? Thats crazy!

George is old school, we go way back. The first time I was ever on John Bull was riding with George in his Jeep.

It was the new hand throtle that got him, a roll is not really georges style.  I am not sure how much longer that hand throttle has on his rig, with the cross over to an automatic for his knees and ankles I think this is his biggest regret in a mod.

We were not on that trail that day, go figure George opted to run Steel bender over Pritchet Canyon since he thought the Canyon would have gotten the better part of him and his rig.  When we got the call that someone rolled we never thought it was george!!!

George did end up getting his rig pretty much back into shape but he is still healing the wounds but coming around great!

Yup. Do something stupid you pay the price. Left rear tire sliped off the rock turning my front to the drivers side. Tried to power my way over the top causing the Jeep to bounce more and turn the jeep more left. Almost made it but only almost.
Everything is back to normal. Jeep is fixed. Frame horn was only slightly bent so leaving it that way. Replaced hood, core support, and fenders (wanted tube fender flares for a long time) and new paint job. Shoulder about 90 pct. Hand throttle will never be used again while vehicle is in motion. *** happens. I was already past that spot and only went back because Andy and Tom climbed the wall and my ego made me do it.

Dang George!

Glad to hear that you're doing better and almost 100%.  I'll be moving the family back from TX, next week while everyone's at Pismo.  Doh!
Looking forward to getting the K5 back and running some trails with you.
