I'm new to reading fourwheeler, but how about doing a real world S-10 or Colorado Build Up. But make it real, something that the average joe with a family could do. I've seen some S-10s that looked like mini tanks and seemed almost unstoppable.

A Colorado build-up would be cool.  But like you said, keep the build as if an average person was to do it.

Yeah, I think a crew cab would be a good idea. That way you still have some room in the cab for gear and friends. Also, make it so it's highway capable, it doesn't have to be a cruiser, but enough to get to work and back and the occasional long haul.

I was talking to a guy at work, and he suggested doing an old and new build up. Take a mid 90s S-10 and a newer colorado and do a double build up and go over what the differences are and such. Just an idea, maybe the editors will take it and run.

ya, havnt they a done a double build before? i think i saw one done involving 2 jeep commanders. one was done up mild, and one was done up wild! but i agree with you. do a double build, old vs new. show the pros and cons, and make it somthing that an average guy can do! agree?

That would be a great idea for an S-10. I was also thinking what about a 2WD PreRunner style and a 4WD Mudding/Trail vehicle.

i would be a fan of the mud/trail version. i dont got much use for a prerunner here in plymouth. its definatly a great idea. covers a good spectra for the average wheeler.

It would be great to have a S-10. You can use it for traveling as well as goods transport. What are your expectations from your four-wheeler? What would be your budget?

the budget would be an average mans budget to the mans budget of having some extra cash in his pocket. expectations would be that of watever your individual goals are. some mite want real crazy and some mite want no more than 33" tires and no more than 5-6" of lift. which is my case since my s10 is also a daily drive.

We are reading, but the Colorado is not exactly the most popular truck platform, and the aftermarket, at least on the off-roading side, has never really embraced whether the S-10 or Colorado the way, say a Ranger and Tacoma have been. None of us own S-10s or ever plan to, but if such a build up comes our way or makes sense, we will consider it.
