Yup, it's true, if you saw the 'rumor' post then you already know but the "Vote Fur Me" Contest is on!
It's simple really, get your friends, family, neighbors, MySpace/Facebook friends, other members here or on other forums, anywhere really to come on and vote for your ride!
Not really interested in winning? Then hop on the Readers Rides and vote for some of your fellow Four Wheelers! I know they would appreciate the votes!
I'll keep you all updated as the prize list grows, I'm pretty sure it will be worth your while
Any questions? Comments? Post em here and I'll answer!
And remember guys, we are up against eight other sites, one of which includes those pesky Mini Truckers again, let's not let them win this one too!

this seems a bit odd to me... the people who are recently added have an obvious advantage... same with "most popular"... "highest rated"... "most commented"... i'm not necessarily complaining about this... but i'm thinking that you might take some time and post a list of everyones ride with the primary pic in one locked thread and then they can locate the ride they like or are interested in... maybe even a link in there with the photo directly to the ride... it would eliminate people whining later on... just an idea

Valid point there Mike, and we did consider it. But in the end when looking through the rides we realized that 95% of the rides on all the sites, not just FW, have either 1 or 0 votes and those 5% that have more than that arn't active and thus aren't eligible to win anyway.
Being on the homepage really doesn't give much of an advantage to this contest, at least not from the trends that I have seen in the past. They still get zero votes.
The key to this is going to be having friends, family, and strangers (IE MySpace bulletins, other forums, ect) vote for your ride. If this thing flops the winner could have very few votes...
