Hey guys I have a 98 Land rover Disco and my goal is to swap the engine in to the 87 Sammy with the axles and hopefully the tranny. Any ideas? It shouldn't be much harder than doing the 4.3liter chevy. Has anyone seen or heard of anything like this being done?  

One of the beauties of a Sammi is that it is light and it can swim through things that heavy rigs cannot. If I was looking for a bit more power in one I would look for a little bigger 4 cyl for it and leave drive drain the same and keep weight down. For what it is worth.
