ive seen some few ads for a 9" front for the jeeps, wonder what the limitations are that the mass market hasnt jumped on? i was thinking that it be cool to make a stumpy 9" w/itty axles that end in a bolt on flange so's you can bolt and run a ifs axle to the knuckle,Ala cheebeee?.is there a high pinion" center section.2. would it be hard to fab a sheet housing, all triangulated n stuff to keep the twisty/bendy/breaky to a minimum, and b able to bolt in place, kinda sorta to the front of the said ifs on said cheebee,so it can be said that i told you so? wat chu think!

what about bolting on portal box's to the end of this IFS setup too... make some awesome ground clearance... and it would relieve some stress on the IFS componants too...

unimogs n hummers right? what i as thinkin was that a dana type housing would be better to stand up tp the forces, but all things given,a 9" drop out for ease of maintenance w/ a custom housing for strength.dont know much about all the types of half shafts an stuff, but i figure use a aluminum short shaft w/ the toyota type ends, ive heard of birfield eliminator kits ,so i know its not them, and chebby A arms, but i figured longer ones, and some real bearings.now the portal boxs, wonder where to get them?Maybe Doc Franco can enliten us,there gotta be unimog parts houses and junkyards in europe.plus ya get a lift!
