Okay. You want to use grease VERY sparingly on these two gears that mesh when hub is locked

so i put the axle 75% back together put the lockouts on the ands of axle lock outs lock but with pressure agian it slips i noticed the spyder gears turning but the diff stays still so took it back apart and the clutches in the diff are bad spyder gears are not gripping the diff and causing it to slip

Still does not make sense because clutches just provide LSD action, not complete drive.

Yes but the carrier drives cross pin for spider pinion gears which then drive both side gear with equal torque. The LSD clutch just lets you send more torque to one axle than other so if it is jacked up and you spin drive shaft by hand it should spin wheels.

so i removed the diff and put in a open case and the axle now locks up so it was the diff

the diff cover, it most likely is a 44 unless someone swapped in a d60 from a 1ton, then it'll have 8 lugs, and a cover that resembles a d44, only larger.

GM did not switch to 10 bolt up front in blazer "officially" until 79 though in 78 model year you might find both, 77's would be D44's
