Did you put too much grease in hubs???? You want to use it very sparingly as it can inhibit proper engagement of hubs.

Pull them and make sure they are pretty dry and also make sure that you have it installed properly and the all C-clips are in place. There should be a clip on end of axle stub to retain driven gear that hub connects to as well.

It has been a while since I have had one down but there is/should be a spring that goes behind gear on stub shaft to keep it fully extended against the c clip on stub shaft keep stub seated in spindle from behind and keeping gear in place for hub to engage. Check this spring.

There should be a spring between the gear cluster that is on axle stub and spindle bearing housing that keeps this gear in place against snap ring on axle stub so that hub gear can engage it. If the spring is missing or weak, it will not hold this gear in proper position for hub gear to engage it when hubs are engaged.

Spiders will not move if one wheel is on ground and drive shaft is engaged. Also you cannot even apply a small fraction of the torque on a hub by hand that the drive train can so if hubs are only partially engaging, they may hold well under hand torque and slip under higher torque levels.

No LSD clutch is going to cause this. If axle hubs are fine and spiders are good then that means Tcase is not engaging properly.

when you turn the dial to lock, is it kinda hard right before it is in the LOCK position? if so you might have to take the hub all apart and reajust the bearing to seat better so the lock will engage more freely...just a thought cause I put new WARN hubs on my D44 and the drivers side went on smooth and the pass was harder so now I have to take it all apart and readjust the bearings to get more play so it will lock properly...
