Help!  I inherited a 1964 scout and would like to rebuild it.  I would like it to be reliable and some stock.  I have been told to let go of the stock and go for a small pickup or blazer and change out the scout body.  Any advice is welcome as I don't even know where to start!

GOOD LUCK W/WHATEVER YOU DO!

It seems like it will depend on the rust factor.  If the Scout isn't too rusty, I would rebuild it and keep it on the current frame.

To "suggest" that a blazer chassis is stronger and better than a Scout chassis is foolish. Scouts were built like tanks. Rust was their only weakness.

I would LOVE to have that old "cornbinder". Build it like it sits! Scouts are way cool! Let's hear it for the Harvester!

scouts are bad @ss if you got the time and *** gut it and run a newer chevy engine and tranny fuel injection remove the interior and run rhino liner inside and underneath the truck that will quiet the ride considerably,
