Can any body help me??? I have a 2001 4WD DOUBLE CAB TOYOTA TACOMA I am going to install KING coil over lift kit at front and Deaver Spring at rear to make room for a set of 285/70R17 BFGoodrich tires, and I am on the process to buy a set of four Walker Evans street wheels for my truck. Can any body tell me what is the correct backspacing I should order my wheels with???
Sincerely

i don't know if this will help or not , but here you go . I have a 2001 toyota the same as you but i went with a fab-tech 3.5" lift kit and pro comp rock wheels . my backspacing on my wheels is 4.5 " and i run 285/75R16 that is actuly taller then what you want to run. 70's will be wider i'm quit sure . because i want to get 305/70R16's and looked into it and there olny 32.4" tall and 11.someting wide . the 285/75R16 are 33.2" tall and 11.something (less then the 305's) . i've had real good luck with my set up except i had to change my fender flars. the tires would hit the front of the back ones and finally broke them around the bolt holes . but i fixed that with a set of bushwackers cut . and let me tell you what they can be a pain to put on , but they look so good . one more thing watch out for CV boot wear the angel change makes them rub on them selfs .

this might help . i have the same truck you do . i went with a 3.5" fab-tech lift and pro comp rock wheels . my backspacing is 4.5" with 285/75R16 . you said you was going to use 285/70R17 i don't think you'll have a problems with size tires since there shorter then mine . but if you do run the taller size and intend on going offroad you might want to think about changing your finder flars. my OE flars would get hit by the back tires every time i flexed the rear . the tires finally broke the plastic around the bolts . looked funny driving down the road with them sticking out at the bottom . so i got a set of bushwackers cut outs and that was the end of that problem . but now the CV boots are at such an angle they rub themself and have almost wore a hole in . i found that total chaos makes a front diff drop to fix that , i just haven't got it yet. but i hope this helps , and happy wheeling to yha
