I was wondering if any has used the newer style carb offered for the old f-head.  I saw them in jc whitney. I was wondering if they are worth the money or better to rebuild the old thanks.  

I think I would rebuild old one. Even if if means having throttle rebored and bushed because it is worn. The old carbs where very study and pure "Jeep" in nature. BTW, congrates and owning a REAL Jeep!
