Everyone knows that powder coating is the most durable kind of paint you can lay down on your 4x4, but this post is for tips, tricks and questions answered. I have to start by saying that i want to try this durable paint out all over the truck. In my research ive found that if you want to do a frame it must be sand blasted first, then it can be coated with no problems.

However there seems to be some dispute on the body it self. You media blast it to prep it, that i know for sure, but can your cab or body with stand 400 degrees without warping?

Can you powder coat something thats been cromed? for instance i want powder coat black rear view mirrors but they only come in crome, and can you bake the mirrors with the glass in them?

Do rims need sand blasted or media blasted for powder?

I have done some research on body work though, and I have found a body filler that you can use at high temp, so if you can infact you can bake your sheet metal without expanding it, this stuff will help you get it straight, its called LAB METAL, its cool lookin stuff but once again this is why I started this post because i need input and i know other people are thinking the same thing, so who can help?
