HEY YALL. THIS IS SEA-B. I AM CURRENTLY DEPLOYED TO  AFRICA ISO GWOT. WHEN I COME HOME I WOULD LIKE TO PUT MY TRANNY,T-CASE,FRONT AND REAR END FROM MY 78 3/4 TON FORD RANGER ON A TJ OR YJ. MOTOR? SOME FORD V8 WITH EFI TO MATE WITH MY C6. WHO CAN HELP ME WITH INFO ON THIS TYPE OF TRANSFORMATION. THANKS GUYS/GALS...

No to be a downer here but axles are going to be too wide so you will loose width clearance plus this is 2008 and a C6 is yesterday news and very dated. I would swap in a modern OD tranny which allows you to run even deeper axle gears for better performance and still cruise at a nice RPM in OD (example even with 5.13's, you cruise RPM will be lower than a C6 with 3.73) Plus you would get a locking converter to save some fuel cruising. No C6 ever had one. I am not down on C6's, I would say the same thing about a THM400 or Chrysler 727 swap. Their hey day is long gone.
