I have a 2002 Suburban 3/4 ton. The "service 4X4" indicator light stays on and the vehicle is stuck in 4 wheel drive. Any suggestions?

take it to ur local garage or if you know any one that has a scanner. the scanner should tell you wat made that 4x4 service light come on

CHances on the "service 4x4" light is the push button switch, thats the most common problem.other than that it could be the frt axle actuator.

Switch would be first thing I would check too. Front axle actuator that year are servo driven and pretty reliable. He could try pulling TCCM fuse for about 10 minutes and then replacing it as this clears TCCM memory and reboots it.
