Generally you do not use headers with a turbo because you have to route exhaust to turbo. That engine should have same bolt pattern as a 2.8, 3.1 and 3.4 GM V6 as I recall (I am not 100% sure though) otherwise it should have a SB pattern if not. You need to find the correct 700R4 bellhousing to bolt to it. Otherwise this is not going to be a realy nasty swap. It will require some fabing of mounts and wiring for engine but it should be easier overall than a V8 swap. You are going to have to watch/measure clearance for turbo routing and location.

It has the standard B.O.P. bell housing the 2.8-3.4 are different. you'll need a adaptor to to use the 700r4 or use a th2004r it will bolt right up and will also survive quite well in the light vehicle.

I had a 79 luv I put the 3.8 turbo in with a th200 then swaped in a th2004r, it's not a hard swap at all for the luv. On the s-10 you may run into a problem with the crossmenber and the oil pan.
headers aren't going to be an option with the turbo. you'll probably also end up making a new exhaust crossover pipe to fit.

Thanks for the reply so i would be better off to fabricate my own motor mounts, instead of trying to use OEM style mounts and jerry rigging it to fit

Thanks for your reply.Since it is a lowered 4X4, I managed to install a CV drive shaft from a S10 cyclone. I don,t have the engine in yet but gona try a dry run. Would this drive shaft be in the way of my routing of exhaust tubing and would it be worth while to fabricate my own exhaust manifold out of stainless steel.
