All you redneck boys might get a kick out of this one!
an uncle of mine lives in Halls gap kentucky, a few miles from my house.  Normally me, him and a couple of friends ride 4 wheelers or something in the woods, a few years back he bought a red quad cab s-10 with a 4.3liter v-6 and a 5 speed manual.  it was a used truck but in fairly good shape.  Not exactly a muddin machine... but fastforward to a today.  it still has the stock engine and trans, it has homemade posi-track amaising what you can do to the spider gears with a TIG welder.  the radiator was punctured and ripped fron what is left of the grille by a branch,  home made brush gaurd with the words "Tree Knocker" spraypainted on it,  many a trees and even some dudes old shed has fallen to that brush gaurd, the bed was torn off one day when he got a few too many beers in him and he decided to jump a ditch,  the doors are also ripped off,  the hood, busted up grille and old bumper are held on with bungee cords,  the roof is dented in, causing rain water to pool in it,  a poorly drawn masterpiece of a Bud_lite can is spraypainted on the passenger side fender.  The truck usually runs on flat or shredded tires (lots of flint and slate rock in my area)  You should see the sparks at night when you get on the road.  He gives that little truck hell every time he gets in it,  and even with no raidator and dirty oil that truck refuses to quit.  Guess that a tribute to the Chevy.  Try that with a FORD.

thats the joy of having a 4.3, just as reliable and hard working like the 350
my 4.3 has 161000 hard miles on it and still runs like it has 60000 on it

rock on!!!!

That is classic! I lover wheelin mid-size trucks. I run a 96 ZR-2 and even though its bone stook it can take mud up the doors and all the rocks I can throw at it.
